Kertisa Amos
Coach Amos played basketball and ran track at Burleson
Centennial High school where she was a part of the Texas All-region basketball
team, academic All-State and won 3rd place at the state track meet in the
4x100. In college, she played basketball at Hill College, Texas Wesleyan, and
Midwestern State. At Hill College she received Defensive Player of the Year
honors as well as Academic All American honors. At Texas Wesleyan she was
recognized as SAC Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Academic
All American, All American 1st team, and hit her 1,000 point milestone in two
years. While at Wesleyan she helped her team make it to the NAIA round of 16.
At Midwestern state, where she completed her graduate year, she received LSC 3rd
team honors.
Amos graduated with her
associates from Hill College in 2021, Texas Wesleyan in 2023 with her Bachelors
in Exercise Science, and is currently working on her Masters in Sports
Administration from Midwestern State.
Amos is the daughter of Curtis Amos Sr and Pauletha Amos. She has an older sister Jasmine Terrell, an older brother Curtis Amos Jr, a niece Zuri Amos, and a nephew Curtis Amos III. She loves traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
