Trent Davis
Trent Davis coaches Girls basketball and
Girls soccer at Irma Marsh Middle School.
Coach Davis boasts a comprehensive
athletic background, stemming from his high school years where he actively
participated in basketball, soccer, track, and cross country. His collegiate
career saw him focus on soccer at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin.
During his time there, he was a key member of a team that achieved two playoff
berths, and in his senior year, his contributions were recognized with the Team
MVP award.
After an impressive athletic career,
Coach Davis transitioned to West Texas A&M University, where he earned a
Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. He brings over 15 years of
extensive coaching experience to Castleberry, having coached a diverse range of
sports including soccer, basketball, cross country, volleyball, and football.
Before joining Castleberry, Coach Davis honed his coaching skills in various
districts, including Pampa, Azle, Springtown, and Fort Worth.
As a head soccer coach for eight years,
Coach Davis has established a remarkable record of success, guiding his teams
to state playoff appearances in all but one of those seasons. His impact was
particularly evident in 2015 at Springtown, where his boys' team achieved a
historic first, becoming District champions and making their inaugural playoff
appearance. Not to be outdone, his girls' team at Springtown also qualified for
the playoffs for the first time under his leadership that same year.
Beyond the playing field, Coach Davis is
a dedicated family man. He is married to Christina Davis, and together they
lead a blended family. Coach Davis has two sons, Jackson and Conner. He is also
a stepfather to Cal, Cooper, and Taylor.
When he's not coaching, Coach Davis cherishes
spending time with his family. He particularly enjoys trips to Colorado, where
he embraces the outdoors through camping, fishing, hiking, and rafting. He also
finds relaxation and enjoyment in the company of friends and family, often
unwinding by listening to live bands.
