Madeline May

Mrs. Madeline May proudly serves as the Assistant Cheer Coach at IMMS, where she also teaches 6th grade honors math.

With over 20 years of dance and spirit team experience—including five years on a drill/dance team—Mrs. May has performed at the State Championship and shared the stage with the world-renowned Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and Kilgore College Rangerettes. Her passion for performance has taken her to numerous holiday events and parades, as well as master classes with the Rangerettes, Texas State Strutters, and even at Walt Disney World in Orlando.

A proud alumna of Texas State University, she has experience as a dance teacher at a local studio, student teacher for a pep squad, and choreographer for CHS’s production of Legally Blonde. Newly married to her amazing husband Jared, Mrs. May enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her church community. She loves crafting—whether crocheting, floral arranging, or DIY projects—and is an avid baker who enjoys sharing sweet treats with others. She always has a good book nearby, either in her hands or playing through her headphones.

Mrs. May believes in leading by example, never asking her students to do something she wouldn't do herself. Known for her “tough love” approach, she pushes her students to be their best—athletically, academically, and as individuals—because she truly wants what’s best for them, even if they don’t see it at the time.
